Juvenile Code Rewrite Bill Unanimously Passed Out of Senate Judiciary
On last Thursday afternoon, February 15, 2012, the Juvenile Code rewrite bill was unanimously passed out of the Senate Judiciary! We are beyond thrilled at this development given all of the extraordinary work that has been put into this effort by our partners . If you are able, please take a moment to thank the members of the Senate Judiciary Committee.
Here’s a link to the committee: http://www.senate.ga.gov/committees/en-US/committee.aspx?Committee=80&Session=21
The bill will next head to the Senate Rules committee, the last stop before a floor vote in the Senate. While there are more steps ahead of us, getting the bill out of the Senate Judiciary was indeed a critical step.
